Canine parvovirus, or parvo, is a highly contagious disease that can cause serious illness and even death. Puppies are at risk until they have been fully vaccinated against it. The vaccine contains modified live versions of the virus for Adenovirus, Distemper, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus. Coronavirus is a killed version of the virus. This puppy shot is recommended for healthy dogs who are 6 weeks of age or older. After they’ve been vaccinated, it’s recommended to continue vaccinating annually with a single dose.
