5XP is an Encephalomyelitis-Rhinopneumonitis-Influenza Vaccines for horses 5XP protects against eastern and western encephalomyelitis Protects against respiratory diseases caused by Equine Herpesvirus types 1 and 4 Tetanus vaccine for horses 5 way equine vaccine that is safe for pregnant mares and horses as young as 4 months of age Intended for veterinarian use Vetera ® 5 XP is a horse 5 way vaccine that has been shown to be effective against eastern and western encephalomyelitis (EEE & WEE) and tetanus, and against respiratory disease due to equine herpesvirus types 1 and 4 (EHV-1 & EHV-4), and A2 equine influenza virus (EIV). With this 5 way equine vaccine, the duration of immunity against EIV OH/03 is at least 6 months. The duration for the remaining organisms has not been determined. This 5 way vaccine for horses has also been shown to be effective against shedding due to A2 EIV. This 5 way horse vaccine has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy horses four months of age or older, including pregnant mares.
