Product Overview
The UNS 25TM 5.9 Gallon Prism Rimless Tank is a versatile multi-purpose glass enclosure designed to function as an aquarium, terrarium, or paludarium. It pairs a compact footprint with an elevated height, providing vertical scale for tall hardscape pillars, jungle-style stem plants, or emersed Wabi-Kusa layouts. This unit includes a flush inset glass lid to retain ambient humidity for moisture-loving tropical species.
Key Features & Benefits
91% Diamant Ultra-Clear Glass: Premium low-iron glass eliminates the green tint found in standard aquariums for true-to-life color accuracy.
45° Mitered Edges & German Silicone: Precision-cut 45-degree mitered joints double the bonding surface area for high-performance German clear silicone, forming stronger seams.
Vertical Prism Geometry: Elevated 14.17″ height offers vertical clearance for tall rockwork, driftwood branches, and emergent plant displays within a small footprint.
Mitered Inset Glass Lid Included: Includes a precision-cut glass lid that sits flush inside the frame, featuring a central cutout port that balances humidity retention with healthy gas exchange.
Acoustic Leveling Mat Included: Pre-cut dense foam mat cushions the bottom panel, absorbs micro-vibrations, and prevents structural stress cracks.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How does the UNS Prism series differ from standard UNS aquariums?
The Prism series features an increased vertical profile and includes a flush-fitting, mitered inset glass lid. This design allows the tank to function seamlessly as an aquarium, high-humidity terrarium, or paludarium for tropical plants.
2. Does the inset glass lid completely seal the tank?
No. The inset glass lid includes a central opening port that allows essential carbon dioxide and oxygen gas exchange while maintaining ambient internal humidity, making it ideal for tropical plants, mosses, and amphibious life.
3. Why is a leveling mat necessary for rimless glass enclosures?
Because rimless glass tanks rest directly on their base panel without a raised plastic frame, even a microscopic grain of sand on a stand can create concentrated stress points under weight. The included dense foam mat absorbs micro-vibrations and distributes weight evenly across the entire footprint to prevent glass stress cracks.
