It helps with reducing the severity of disease caused by feline Chlamydia psittaci as well as protects against new hemorrhagic calicivirus strain VS-FCV. This feline chlamydia vaccine is made with one additional Feline Calicivirus strain. This strain was isolated from a hemorrhagic Calicicirus outbreak that occurred in 1998. In controlled vaccination challenge experiments, this strain has been shown to protect cats against hemorrhagic disease induced by Calicivirus. The vaccine also contains killed Chlamydia bacteria.
