The Merrill Medium Gag with Twisted Wire Dogbone Roller is designed for riders who need clearer, more responsive communication without creating discomfort. The medium shank adds authority and lift, making it a reliable step up from a short shank for horses that need more guidance in their body or face. The 3-piece twisted wire mouthpiece keeps horses light and accountable, preventing them from leaning while eliminating the nutcracker effect. The dogbone center and roller encourage relaxation and softness—giving you control, feel, and finesse all in one balanced bit.If your horse needs to stay more honest in the bridle while still staying soft in the poll, this Merrill delivers.
