The Double Jointed Leather Covered Pelham Bit has a stainless steel core wrapped in leather, providing strength while offering a softer surface than a bare metal bit. The leather softens slightly when moistened, giving a gentler surface for horses with sensitive mouths. Flat, non-abrasive stitching keeps the mouthpiece smooth, reducing the risk of irritation. Pelham cheekpieces allow for curb and poll pressure when needed, offering additional leverage while maintaining steady contact. The double-jointed mouthpiece has a central link that distributes pressure evenly and reduces the nutcracker effect.Ideal for horses that require leverage but benefit from a leather covered mouthpiece rather than a standard metal bit.
