Description
Elephant Skin Stone features a unique texture that is the result of years of weathering and water erosion, which creates its namesake leathery and wrinkly gray surface. This natural stone is a good pick for adding contrast and subtle texture to your aquascape without the risk of extremely sharp edges, making it safe for fragile critters such as long-finned fish. Some pieces even feature natural “dimples” and craters, perfect for shrimp to explore or for anchoring small plants. This stone is also suitable for non-aquarium use and will work beautifully in terrariums, paludariums, or similar planted enclosures.
Stones vary in shape, size, and density.
Notes:
If you are looking for larger stones, a minimum weight may be required. Larger stones = higher weight. Email our team if you need assistance.
These stones are dense and generally larger, ranging from 8-18 inches. The larger pieces have more weathering and texture.
We recommend rinsing stones thoroughly before use to remove any natural dust or sediment.
Stone coloration darkens when wet.
This is a natural product and has the potential to alter water parameters slightly.
