Product Overview
Take control over your room’s ambiance and maximize your lighting efficiency with the official Chihiros RGB VIVID 2 Mate Light Shade. Designed as a dedicated companion for the high-output Chihiros RGB VIVID 2 Mate LED Pendant, this accessory eliminates the distracting side-glare that naturally spills outward when a high-energy point-source fixture is suspended over an open-top aquarium.
Key Features & Benefits
Effective Anti-Glare Protection: Intercepts distracting horizontal light spill, making your surrounding living room, office, or bedroom significantly more comfortable for relaxing and viewing.
Reflective Interior Surface: Captures escaping horizontal light rays and bounces them directly downward into the water column, increasing overall PAR efficiency without consuming extra electricity.
Effortless Tool-Free Slide-On Mounting: Slides directly into the factory accessory tracks on the VIVID 2 Mate housing in seconds without requiring screws, clips, or extra hardware.
Polished Minimalist Silhouette: Creates a clean, architectural border around your suspended pendant that masks the raw diode board for a high-end gallery finish.
Cross-Model Compatibility: Engineered to fit both the Chihiros RGB VIVID 2 Mate and standard Chihiros RGB VIVID 2 LED light fixtures.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Will this shade fit the standard Chihiros RGB VIVID 2 LED light?
Yes! The Chihiros Light Shade for RGB VIVID 2 Mate shares identical mounting track dimensions with the standard RGB VIVID 2 lights. Packaging labels may vary, but product compatibility remains completely identical.
2. How do light shades help increase light output in my aquarium?
The internal surface of each shade acts as a reflector. Stray light rays that would otherwise scatter horizontally into your room strike the shade interior and bounce back down into the tank, effectively increasing usable PAR at the substrate.
3. Is installation complicated?
Not at all. Installation is 100% tool-free! The side panels feature engineered tabs that slide directly into the designated channels on the long edges of your Chihiros VIVID 2 housing.
