The Mattes Quilted Dressage Correction EuroFit Pad is beautifully shaped with an upsweep at the back sides and anatomically contoured along the topline. It follows the contours of a horse’s back and allows for a perfect fit under a saddle. The patented SPINEFREE® design ensures the horse’s spine is not in contact with any seams, fabric or tension, eliminating the risk of rubs and pressure on the sensitive areas around the spine. Shims are included, with six front and six back shims provided.
Mattes SPINEFREE® design reliably prevents pressure around the withers and spinous processes. The secure SADDLE-FIX® system allows the top seam of the EUROFIT® numnah to be attached comfortably within the gullet of the saddle.
The core of the EUROFIT® numnah is made of two layers: POLY-FLEX® (a deep-needled polyester felt) maintains the shape and spreads pressure, while polyester wadding provides padding. We completely avoid foam, neoprene, or gel, making the entire pad breathable.
Note: With the guidance of a qualified saddle fitter, shims can help adjust saddle fit for an asymmetrical horse or compensate for a saddle that sits low or is slightly too big. However, shims will not improve the fit of a saddle that is already too narrow; in fact, they can often make a tight fit worse.
