Detailed Description A New Standard in Aquarium Filtration The Sicce AQUA FILTRA 40 is more than just a filter; it’s a complete life support system for your aquarium. Its powerful multi-stage process ensures that your water is not just visibly clear, but also free of the invisible toxins that can harm your fish. Stage 1 (Mechanical/Biological): Water first passes through a durable 20 PPI sponge, which traps debris and waste while providing a massive surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize. Stage 2 (Chemical): Next, an advanced cartridge with activated carbon and zeolite adsorbs odors, discoloration, organic pollutants, and harmful ammonia. Stage 3 (Polishing): Finally, a fine wool pad polishes the water, removing any remaining micro-particles to achieve a brilliant, crystal-clear finish. Engineered for Silence and Reliability Sicce has built its reputation on creating silent, energy-efficient pumps, and the AQUA FILTRA 40 is no exception. The advanced motor and submerged pump design minimize vibrations and noise, making it one of the quietest hang-on-back filters on the market. Set it up and forget it’s there—all you’ll notice is the exceptional clarity of your aquarium. Intuitive Design & Simple Maintenance Designed for the modern aquarist, the AQUA FILTRA 40 is incredibly user-friendly. The adjustable intake tube fits a wide variety of aquarium heights, and the built-in flow control allows for perfect customization.
