Description
Silence Your Sump and Simplify Your Maintenance Routine Tired of the constant splashing and “gurgling” sounds coming from your filter socks? The VCA No-Sock 4-Inch Silencer is the ultimate solution for a quieter, cleaner reef tank. Designed by Vivid Creative Aquatics (VCA), this innovative accessory drops right into your existing 4-inch filter sock holder, instantly muffling the sound of falling water while providing a versatile platform for mechanical filtration. Why Choose the VCA No-Sock Silencer? Traditional filter socks can be noisy, and washing them is a chore nobody enjoys. The No-Sock Silencer transforms your filtration area by diffusing water flow and allowing you to use disposable filter floss instead of high-maintenance cloth socks. Key Features: Whisper-Quiet Operation: The unique internal geometry breaks up the falling water stream, eliminating the loud splashing and air-gulping “burps” common in high-flow sumps. Customizable Filtration: Use it as a “silencer” inside a standard filter sock, or use it on its own with a piece of filter floss (poly-fill) to trap detritus. When the floss gets dirty, simply toss it out and replace it—no more washing smelly socks in the laundry! Perfect Fit: Specifically designed to fit standard 4-inch filter sock holders. It is also fully compatible with Red Sea Reefer filter sock trays. Durable & Reef-Safe: 3D-printed using high-quality, reef-safe PETG plastic that won’t leach chemicals into your water or degrade over time in a saltwater environment. Easy Handling: Features an integrated handle for quick removal, making it easy to swap out filter media without getting your hands soaked.
