SHAVERUBBER
1/4″ rubber shavings, derived from recycled tires, are a versatile material in the equine industry. Their shape and size offer excellent cushioning and shock absorption, ideal for round pen surfaces where horses work in repetitive motion, reducing joint stress. In horse walkers, this footing provides a non-slip, forgiving surface, enhancing safety during exercise. In stalls, these shavings can serve as a durable, low-dust bedding alternative or base layer. Their good drainage helps maintain a drier and more hygienic environment compared to traditional bedding. While offering comfort, they may require a top layer of more absorbent material for optimal moisture control. Overall, 1/4″ rubber shavings contribute to improved equine comfort, safety, and reduced dust in various stable settings.
