The Leather Covered Segunda Pelham Bit features a stainless steel core wrapped in leather, providing strength while offering a softer surface than bare metal. The central port applies pressure to the palate, encouraging proper head elevation, while the mouthpiece maintains tongue contact to prevent leaning or bracing. Flat, non-abrasive stitching ensures the mouthpiece remains smooth and comfortable. Pelham cheekpieces provide additional leverage and curb pressure when needed while maintaining steady contact. Ideal for horses that require adjustable leverage, assisted head carriage, and respond better to a leather-covered bit than to a standard metal bit.
