The Merrill Long Gag with Smooth Dogbone Roller is designed for riders who need maximum leverage and authority without compromising the horse’s comfort. The long shank provides increased lift and elevation, helping horses stay balanced, rate correctly, and respond to subtle cues while maintaining softness in the face. The smooth 3-piece dogbone mouthpiece eliminates the nutcracker effect, while the roller encourages jaw relaxation and focus. This combination helps horses remain attentive, supple, and responsive, making it ideal for advanced riders, competitive performance, or horses that require extra control without harshness.
